Prep - Work
Prepare the area: Clear the area of any furniture or items that could be damaged by the pressure washer. Cover nearby plants, outdoor electrical outlets, and delicate surfaces with plastic sheeting or tarps to prevent damage.
Proper Stream
Choose the right nozzle: Power washers come with different nozzles that produce different spray patterns and pressures. Choose the nozzle that best suits the job you're doing, based on the level of grime, the type of surface, and the distance from the surface you'll be working from.
Power Wash Time
Power wash the area: Stand a few feet away from the surface and hold the spray wand at a slight angle, pointing downward. Move the wand back and forth in a sweeping motion, keeping the nozzle at a constant distance from the surface. Work in sections, overlapping each pass slightly, until you have cleaned the entire area.

Connect the power washer: Connect the power washer to a water source and plug it into an electrical outlet. Turn on the water and let it run through the pressure washer for a few minutes to remove any air bubbles and to get the machine ready to use.
